I was paying about $500. per yr. here in Missouri (98' 4wd, 5.2, CC)for $500. deductable, but a couple small speeding tickets doubled that.

I pay about $750.00 for the year with a $100.00 deductable on collision and $0.00 deductable on comprehensive and glass. My truck is used as a delivery vehicle for my business with multiple drivers.

$3,500 a year , $500 deductable, 2 DUI's, numerous speding tickets, accidents (not all my fault), and 1 high speed pursuit, if i had a Viper and not a Dakota I might of had a chance. Cheapest i could find myself.

i pay 235 a month for insurance and my truck note is 285 a month what a rip off. i called geico they wanted 450 a month where is the 15% savings?

I pay 280 dollars every 6 months with the good student discount. My dad pays 92 dollars every six months. Thats what rate you get when you have never been in a accident and no tickets.

When it comes to insurance it definately pays to shop around. With insurance companies on virtually every corner, it is a very competitive business and that can be an advantage for a smart consumer. I went from paying $1750 last year (01 V6 Quad Cab) to $800 this year. The key is finding a company that maintains a low operating overhead ( no glitzy 4 color brochures or million dollar lizard ad campaigns). Check out www.insurance.com great place to comparison shop.

Trying get insurance in Alaska - when we first bought our truck the insurance was more than the car payment. Now we pay $158 per month and that is hands down the cheapest ($250 deductible, it'd be just a little less with more of deductible). Geico pulled up my driving record and by mistake it showed something being paid out on my policy instead of the stupid kid who pulled out in front of me. We worked it really quick and it was worth it. Also in Alaska you can exclude the company from looking at your credit report. This is super helpful if your credit is poor but you drive fine.
