Message: Any vibration at highway speeds? My rears when at around 50K...Vibration was a dead give away but just to be 100% positive you should take the time to crawl under the truck, grab the drive shaft and see how much movement you have. My rear you could actually see was miles from just falling apart...it was in pretty rough shape, def. not a safe situation...

Message: If it turns out that your U-joints are not bad, try lubricating the driveshaft yoke that engages the output shaft splines from your tranny/transfer case. Sometimes there's a little binding that makes a clunk sound when they come unbound, usually during deceleration or releasing the brake after coming to a stop. There's a TSB about this condition.
