A strange thing that I have noticed is that you don't see an awful lot of them in Canada. I took a trip down to Kentucky last year to the Rolex 3-Day (Horse) Event, and I was amazed how many great looking fixed-up Gen II s I saw.

1995 Dak 4x4 extended cab, 5.2L.
Lesley : I agree, you hardly see any Gen II Daks in Canada. On the other hand, I do see more Gen III Daks tho'.
One thing is for certain, you'd be hard pressed to find a Dak that is fixed-up in Canada.

There are a couple of really nice gen IIIs I've seen (in Peterborough). I've only seen one really nice gen II though, actually saw it twice yesterday, it's a white and burgundy reg cab. with big chrome wheels.

I've seen some really cool looking Gen III Daks in Calgary, but all of the Gen II Daks I've seen are mostly stock.

I just passed a really hot looking gen II, intense blue with yellow (it was a little loud, but still pretty nice), scoop, roll bar, and chrome with big fat tires. Don't know what year.

I HAVE A 96 SLT 4X4 5.2L DAKOTA.It is my view that aftermarket performance products aren't aimed at this transitional year.Every ad you see is 91-95,or 97-01'.Get your mods off other mopar trucks.92'dakota exhaust manifold and Y-pipe put on a 96' will free up 7hp.Add K N filter 3-5hp ,throttle body spacer 3-5hp.All relitivly inexpensive parts.If you have the money hit E-bay and buy used.

I own A 1995 club cab 318 c.i.d, 5 speed tranny, 3.55 "anti-spin" diff. I only have 145,000 miles on it.The only things I have had to replace is A couple of batteries, and tires.(two sets A year)

I have a 95 auto, my son has a 96 stick. Both 318 SLT extended cab. I am trying to get Robert at Hellwig to build a rear sway bar for the Gen II V8. He makes one for the V6 now, the V8 has a larger differential. Is anybody else out there interested in a rear sway bar?

I gotta 94 CC SLT 4x4 5.2L 5spd and I want a hellwig sway bar bad. I use my pickup for interstate transits and I hate catching wind off a big truck. I have been told that a sway bar will help that. And I love gen II V8 daks, mines gotta single straight pipe with justa 22" glasspack and no cat. Its so loud and I love it, I can scare pedestrians.

'93 C.C. 4x4 LE 318 3.55 sure grip all the power options, right now running the factory genIII aluminum wheels. after market goodies include lund screen fronts, moon visor, dual 2.5" straight pipes off the stock large manifolds ypipe and cat dual C.B. antennas on the bulkhead wrap around bug shield just installed 3" body lift the 4" suspension is laying in my room. The truck is factory red and silver and has 118000 miles on it. Has even more done to the engine, It really loves eating up those little foriegn cars, mustangs and camaros. People call me wierd for driving Mopars but I get way more looks and a lot more compliments on my Mopars then they could ever imagine. Gen II's rule

Got's me a 91 cc 318 with LSD, thank god for the limited slip 'cause with all this snow up here in northern Ontario I really apreciate it. Lots of Genll's & Genl's up this way. Probably 'cause everyone around here's broke and can't afford a Genlll,ha ha!! Or maybe like me they really like their Genll and just want to hang on to them. Speaking of lots of snow, there goes the f#^*@!ing plow, AHHHH MAAAAN!!!

I live in Southeast Georgia and there are some good looking Dakotas down this way. I have a 1996 Dodge Dakota 5.2L SLT, I have got a few mods like Mopar PCM, Mopar Headers with 2.5in. pipe run back to 2 chamber flowmasters, 3.55 lsd (sucks)I would like to have a 4.10, auto-meter shift lite, I also have a G-tech performance meter, my best time so far in the 1/4 is 14.83 at 95.2 mph. I am about to install a 125hp shot of NOS!!!! Stay tuned for results.
