 Subject: 99 318 hard start

ok i got a 99 318 dak sport and it takes about 3 key turns to start her when cold but when warm it starts b4 i touch the key also with this when i start the rpms shoot to 1000 and shutter down to about 500 to 600 but its not steady it shakes between and it shakes and the oil pressure gauge has no read out for about a second or 2 has any one else had this prob and any ideas how to fix?

Truck has a mind of it's own...starts before you touch the key. Like it know's it has to be started.

What exactly do you mean it takes 3 key turns to start? Does it just click or do nothing (like the starter is not operating)? Or does it crank excessively and the start? Can you give us some more info??
