Finally had a chance to see if the Superchip did remove my speedlimiter. My speedlimiter was at 98mph, but since I installed the Superchip program I took up to 105mph this morning and I did not hit a speedlimiter. Needless to say I'm very pleased with my programmer.
Tomorrow I take my monthly 200 mile trip, so I'll check out the MPG to see if the 87 octane program can improve my gas mileage. I'll post my results and update this thread when I get more info.

Later...

There was only one thing I didn't like about the SC raised limiter. If you let off the throttle say at 110, you cannot accelerate again until you drop below the factory 98 mph limiter speed.

Some of the Daks had a higher limited speed than others. I think it had to do with the speed rating on the factory tires. Mine was set at
98 mph from the factory.

davec;
Here is what I've got with my mods listed:
02 Dak 4.7L auto CC SLT, 360 intakez CAI, Roll-N-Lock, Rhino Liner, Relocated IAT, Remove Clutch Fan, No Cats, True Duals Gibson 766024, Motive 4.10 w/LSD, Fastman 68mm TB, ROE A/F Controller, Robert Shaw 180 Tstat, KRC 206 Cams, TMR Mod, Fastman O2 Simms, ASP Underdrive Pulley(removed), HO intake manifold, Superchips programmer.

The speedlimiter was determined wheather you had 2 wheel drive, 4 wheel drive, auto trans, manual trans, aluminum drive shaft, steel drive shaft, RC, CC, QC,... All I know is mine would shut down at 98mph.

Got to Tallahassee late last night. Filled up with gas to check MPG and I got 18.8mpg. Mostly interstate driving with cruise set at 70mph. I think if I set the ROE controller to zero on both knobs it might get better mpg. After filling up I went ahead and loaded the performance program because I like it the best. The truck sure does run good and shifts better with the superchips program. I'll have to try to get over to the dyno soon and see what kind of difference it makes.
Hope this helps out...

Another happy SC user :p

davec, mine is 4WD and mine had a stock 120-ish limiter as well. Go figure.
I've tapped 125 to 130MPH one time just to "test" it. It's up there now :)

Oh yea, the extra power will snack your neck!-NOT

I dynoed mine, it IS one of the ONLY tuners that will dyno a gain however.

About what .alex. dynoed with his optimizer 2 flash, cept he also had a short belt to get rid of A/C and P/S.

For you auto guys, WITH a 'deaf flash', it will do more, and is been sid it will change your shift points, I do mine.

Yeah, it for sure changed the shift points!
Before it seemed like the tranny was in a hurry to get to O/D, but now it doesn't. When you stand on the pedal in performance mod it really accelerates quickly. I've got to get to the dyno and find out what it's doing!

I tried going past my old speedlimiter setting (98mph) and letting off, and then accelerating again like you were talking about and mine works great. I took it up to about 105, let off the gas, slowed to about 100, and then accelerated back to 105 with no problems.
Is that what you were talking about?

I found out something interesting on my return trip home.
I noticed if I turn both knobs on the ROE controller between -4% and -8% it lowers the MAP sensor reading to between 5-7 psi at 75mph on level ground. This made my MPG reading go up 22.5mpg on the scan guage by the time I got off the interstate. On my next trip I'll have to do this again and then check my mpg manually when I gas up.
Here is the equipment I'm using to do all this along with the Superchips programmer:
http://www.scangauge.com
http://www.krcperformance.com/newcontent/pcm.html
Scroll down to the bottom of the KRC page to the ROE controller or go to this site; http://www.splitsec.com/
and look at the ARC1.
Hope this helps someone out...

Gas is really cheap here, less than $2.50/gal. That's only twice as much as I was paying twenty years ago when I was making one fourth as much money. I sure hope we don't get back to the good old days.
