I had only put about 30k miles on my HO cams before I sold the truck but I am thinking of doing them in my '03 soon for the potential milage improvements.
How many miles have you put on your HO cams without problems?
FWIW: my current Dak is an '03 CC 4wd with 3.93's and the manual transmission.

Only about 30k on mine Chris; but I wouldn't worry about them. Sounds like you found a nice combination with the low gears and manual tranny there. Still enjoying your old ported TB.

OMG, you are still running that TB... AWESOME... I broke down and ported the one on my new truck at just a couple thousand miles...
I remember getting a MPG or two when I did the HO cams in my '00 so with gas the way it is and with my desire to park my mustang over the winter in favor of the 4wd better mpg wouldn't hurt...
It just sucks that I probably have to let the wife know ahead of time...
So anyone else do jsut the cams and get a MPG improvment?

Most seem to report no loss of milage - good for you if you got a gain ! Worth it for the extra power as far as I'm concerned, did you really have to baby it to see the gain ? I just don't have that much self restraint...

I only have a few thousand on mine (KRC - Marty installed) and have been running a SuperChips tuner of some kind the whole time and have not had any problems or ticking at all.
I got HO cams to try and rejuvenate my 100k+ miles truck and it did work. On the Performance program with 93 octane, its slmost like a new motor.
