Subject: spark plug/engine problems? IP: Logged
Message: I recently changed the plugs in my 2001 4.7 Quad dak and I've noticed some changes. I used the stock, recommended Champion plugs (Rc12mcc4 copper), gapped at .040. Blew out everything and replaced everything - went relatively smooth.
However, it seems since changing the plugs I'm having some acceleration problems. When I step on the gas, it seems "hesitate" and dog-down a little before actually taking off. It didn't do this before and I was wondering if there's something I need to check since it seems to have started since changing the plugs.
Thanks for any suggestions.

Message: I'll double-check that, but pretty sure I did. Could the plugs themselves be the problem? What plugs do you recommend for a 2001 4.7 4wd?
