Message: I have a 5.2 98 CC 2wd.
Mods are:
1.7 rockers
KN intake GEN II
Header amd cat back exhuast ( still have stock why pipe would I notice a big difference from a bigger one)
IAT
Quick D throttle body
MSD Ign/Taylor wire Borg warner cap and rotor 3923 plugs
I want to get an intake any recommendation from the M1 to KRC modified intake. Which would be best suited for my aplication. Also how of a gain would you get from porting and polishing your heads. Thanks

Message: You will notice an increase with a larger y-pipe. Your headers will work alot better with a larger y-pipe. Your speeding up the flow with your headers, and then slowing it back down, trying to squeeze it through the stock y-pipe. If you open up the y-pipe you will get the gases out much faster, therefore increasing the power. I have equal-length headers, a 2-1/2" mandrel y-pipe, stock cat (suppose to be high-flow), and 3" in/ 2-1/2" dual out muffler. This setups really sounds good, and makes really good power. Torque increase was great.
