well, i found another neon fact. they made 87 total as we all know. but there were three styles of neon (es,se,rt) dodge only made 10 of these as
a rt model in red. or so this fella claims. i also found a red rc motorsport edition for sale. 71k for $7800 it had the 3.9l auto and a split bench seat.

hey, been a while what's up? just turned 43k mi. truck is at the tranny shop. messed up the 3rd gear syncro at the dragstrip. gonna cost $1200. to get it fixed i asked how much for a t-56 swap, $6 to $7 thou. so i'm getting mine fixed.

Should give the tremec 3550 trans a thought. Its about 1200 to 1400 and a very tuff box. I towed with one attached to an FE ford for years. When clear of the trailer- would shift like a maddog and enjoy it.

I have 80k on my red 4.7 5 speed, I bought it new. the goodyears have been stored for a couple of years now at 60% tread.

157K on the ride! You can tell I enjoy it every day! SSBC rear disc conversion the last major mod. I might shod the Eagle 1's for the Evernham Motorsports open house next May in Charlotte.

got her back from the tranny shop $1300. turns out the 3-4 fork is a weak link. the new one was redesigned. should hold up better. 43,413 mi. parked until spring. snow is a four letter word!!

I had the slave valve replaced along with the clutch in April '05; about $900. The oil never drains off the valve covers on this truck LOL.

back to the tranny shop. she grinds 2nd, 3rd, and 4th now. tranny shop thinks the new blocker rings are defective. thank god it's been too warm to snow here. this truck is on a salt free diet. lol.

how is it going guys i found this thread here and
i read through it all, well i see that last post
was made in 8/4/2008 well its now 2/16/2012 and i
just want to let you know that there are two red
single cab Motorsport edition dakotas both no
longer have the yellow lettering tires and dont
have the black utility box, one is a 5speed manual
and the othere is a 4speed automatic, For sale in
my area if anyone is interested.. i live in
Kalamazoo Michigan. so look on kalamazoo MI
craigslist and Battlecreek MI craigslist.

Well, after 14 years, I still own and drive the
'01 a lot...388,000 miles. The original internal
engine, except for timing chains and head gaskets.
Got a used NV3500 about 100K ago, and had the 9.25
rear end rebuilt last year. Mobil1 and Lucas keep
it alive!
