Rear drums.eh...I had my rotors turned at 60k...now it's doin' it again at 90k...maybe I'll do a brake job, but the shoes and pads look good...

I just found a missing piece of the puzzle! I occasionally do a Yahoo! search on the Motorsports Editions, and info on the Neons finally popped up. At http://moparmarc.com/neon/ the production total of Motorsports Neons was only 87! With 1026 Intrepids and 1028 Dakotas, the dealers really did ignore ordering the little car. I guess they figured the NASCAR look suited the Intrepid better.

I went to my local dealer to get a price on the motorsport edition black wheels. they said i need a vin # for that truck (i have a r/t). can someone help me out by telling me the part # or giving me a vin #. any help would be great

Hey 01Motorsport, hows it going man? Beena long time since I taked toyou guys, I dunno if yah remember me or not but I have the Red 01 Dodge Motorsports Edition Dakota, 4.7L and a 5-speed. I was running a Venom 1000 Nitrous System on it and well kinda went lean and go boom. I had around 76K on the clock, now currently sitting in my garage is a 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland H.O. Engine with 23,000 on the clock, picked it up for $2300. Its going in the Dak in the coming next few weekends, I work all the time lol and my drive to work is 2 hours there andtwo hours back, so I only get Friday night, Sat,and Sunday to work on it. I'll keep yall posted, I reckon Im 1 of 56 with the exact combo of Red, 5-speed, 4.7, 3.92 and reg cab.

I have a RC black 4.7 5-spd 3:92 (one of the 13 made) for sell if anyone is interested. Just rolled 48k miles and drives like it just rolled off the lot. There isn't a freakin mustang GT in town that will beat it. I have leather buckets in it, but have the stock cloth buckets still, ground effects,but they are not on at the moment, and a sport ARE camper topper on if if you are interested in speaker systems....email or call if you would like pics....my email is caleb_512@msn.com and my phone is (270) 991-1857. Hey Guys, Good to hear from somebody... I have 117k on my daily driver, RC 4.7, auto. It's still great! I also still have fun with the Mustangs. I still have my Goodyears, but I'm driving Kumo's ...good tire. I found a black Motorsports RC 4.7 auto for sale in Waco, Texas.$8500, 48k miles. Nice. I don't need it.

Hey, drummin :) Yeah, worth keepin'. The 2006 Daks are major porky: ST 4x2 CC is now the "lightweight" at 4275 pounds! My 2001 4x2 RC 4.7 5spd weighs 3759...500 pounds less! Beat 'em down the street AND pass up more gas pumps! My black Motorsports wheels and Eagle #1's are "sleeping" in storage with half-tread depth. I mounted them briefly for Carlisle Mopar Nats, but didn't get to go, so the 17x9's went back on.

This post must be talking to at least half of the 15 blk 4.7 5sp M/s out there. Good truck except for the screaming eagles. Need to put them in storage and get something that grips. any ideas?

wow, sorry i haven't been around. just turned 38,800 on mine. i have joined the dakota-durango site. been spending most of my time there. don't buy falken ziex tires. poor traction!! at the strip and in the rain. love my truck!!!!!! 15.063 at 90.94 mph. at great lakes dragaway

oh ya, my eagles are in storage too. and i have two brand new spare one's too! mine and my brother's i went and bought 5 oem black m/s rims from the dealer. wow $300 each! they had a little trouble getting them too. dealer found only 8 left. now there are only 3. the door decals are very low numbers left too. i got a set of them too.

I've still got 4 Eagle #1's with half-tread depth, the fifth is pretty well worn, but makes the spare. I bought 3 spare decals, but used one on a new Craftsman toolbox inside lid; pretty slick. I've got 67,000 miles on a set of Michelin LTX Pilot 255/55/17 on R/T 17x9 wheels for daily driving. The PCM was flashed for the 28" diameter tires, instead of the stock 29" for the Eagle #1's. First gear is good for about 20 feet now, however LOL.

i thought i'd give dodge another try. i sent a request for a breakdown of how many motorsport editions were made in each body style and color. i have gotten two replys from dodge sofar. they say that it might take a little time but they will get back to me as soon as they can. keep your fingers crossed.lol

Fastdak, you have a real keeper. I have to use mine for
work. The one in Waco is still there. I keep thinking I'll go
talk to him again. It's a black RC, 4.7 5speed. He put some
cheap duals on it, but that's an easy fix. He is still driving
the Eagle One RGL's....later guys...

OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) USED to mean 10 years or more on parts; now you're lucky if its 3 years. I guess DC's production number info is falling into the same category, which is kind of nuts in the "information age". As I said once before, the ONLY quad-cab Motorsports Edition I ever heard of was sold by Jim Cogdill Dodge in Knoxville, a black 4.7 auto. I wish I had taken a photo of it back in 2001...

when my bro was looking for his truck the dealer had a red qc motorsport on the lot. i saw it around town for a while but not for at least a year now. i know of a black rc for sale with a 3.9 and only 25,000 mi. he wants $14,000 for it.
