From what I hear, it will. The 5.9 is going to be eventually replaced by the Hemi 5.7, but not for 03. I heard from several sources that the 03 r/t is going to get the Hemi, but i doubt it.

In the dakota's the 4.7L will be replacing the 5.9L and in the Ram the 5.7 (and I believe 6.1L) Hemi will be replacing the 5.9L. And to answer the question, Yes 2002 is the last production year for the 5.9L

The 4.7 already has replaced the 5.2 in the dakota and the Ram. I believe the 5.7 will replace the 5.9 in both, but am not sure exactly when... I thought it was to be 03...

Hell They said awhile back the return of the hemi would be 01. Who the hell knows... *shrugs*

I think the 5.2 replaced the 4.7 a few years ago, but the 5.9 hasn't been replaced in the ram yet.
