Message: No. It doesn't clear the entire PCM. But it does loose the tuning. The PCM has it's default values when running in closed loop mode. And as you drive and it corrects itself based on sensor feedback, the values are midified. When you clear the battery it seems to go back to default and take a few days driving to relearn. That's all.
It doesn't HURT anything.

Message: SO I finally got this thing to the shop, months later LOL.. It's all fixed, It actually ran a couple codes on the shops scanner, BAD OUTPUT SPEED SENSOR
and BAD SHIFT SOLENOID PACK. they replaced them and put new fluid in. also my heatercore went total they charged me was 745 with labor and parts. Better then the dealer would have wanted. Im happy. So anybody else has these issues and a P0743 code theres where to look.
