I have a 2000 QC SLT 4x4 with the 4.7l, 3.92 gears. My question is, how do I know what kind of diffderential is it? Dana 44?? Maybe I'm just a little slow, but I have no idea.

9.25 (nine and a quarter) rear. For the 9.25 inch ring gear. Very poplular from what I read. Like same since the mid 80's so there should be no problem getting any parts.
I think the NEW Dak's are using a SMALLER rear. At least that was what was listed on their online specs. Crappy!

Thanks. Does these readends use a gasket from the factory or the gasket goop? (sorry forgot the name) Also if I was looking into getting a new diff. cover what would I be looking for?

You can get a gasket but RTV silicone works just as good if not better. Cheaper too.

sorry no Dana anything in your dak, it is a factory corporate 9.25,,, the 3.9 3.7 and the older 4's are a corporate 8.25
