Message: I've never had the "belly gasket" problem. But I'd almost think it would be more blue from oil but someone who HAS had the problem may answer that better.
Sometimes WHITE smoke is from a small water to intake leak. If so. hopefully ONLY the intake gasket and NOT the head gasket. Check and see if it's loosing any water.
In any case. If it were me I'd HOPE it was the belly pan gasket. Good excuse to go with an aftermarket intake manifold :)
How many miles on the Dak?

Message: White (or bluish/white) smoke usually means it's burning oil. There's a couple things that could cause that. For a tune up, distributor cap & rotor (try to get brass contacts) spark plugs and wires, and usually the coil as well. Hope this helps somewhat.

Message: A. Worn Valve Guides/Seals
B. It's all preference.. brass cap & rotors are best
C. If you're feeling friskie. Takes a couple hours. Look down in throttle body, into the intake, to see if there is a large puddle of oil or formed sludge. A thin "film" of oil is normal (PCV).
D. Good tire size, 27" diameter

Message: Graphite, i don't think you'll have that belly pan gskt prob with the 4.7. whitish/blueish smoke at startup could be oil as stated, worn valve guides/seals. i wouldn't worry about it unless you're ready to get into the motor for performance mods.

Message: Smoke at start up is usually due to worn valve guides as Intense and daddio say - the oil from the valve train has a chance to seep by into the combustion chamber as the engine sits - that's why it only smokes at start up. And no immediate need to fix unless it causes a problem with emissions inspection - like daddio, I'd just run it.
Yup, no belly pan gasket on Grahite's 4.7, he won't see that problem on his motor.
Do the tires look pinched ? I'd think they might look better on the 15x8 rims.
Enjoy your new ride !
