So I just got my intake installed on my 03 4.7 Dakota 4x4 and it's making all kinds of noises. I understand the air going in the filter is louder and thats fine with me but when i turn on the A/C there a grinding noise and other noises under the intake system. Sometimes they are there and sometimes not. That's why I'm a little curious about the noises. Any ideas?

I have an 02 4.7L with AEM intake. Looking at mine, the only thing I can think is possible loose connections/hoses/etc. Observe the intake while the revving the engine and with the A/C on. Does there seem to be excessive vibrations coming from the intake (like it is not tightly mounted)? The only noise you should hear is the gushing of air through the air filter.

No other noises but 2nd and 3rd gear sucks at low RPM. It idles really low and seems to struggle to keep running at times. Other than that there is no loose connections I can see. Good idea though. Thanks for your imput.
