Message: NO vehicle is supposed to drive like that. back in december 04 i had an '05 QC rental (*started with only 25 miles on it) for about 8 weeks and put 1500 miles on it. never once did it do anything like you describe.
take it back to the dealer, throw the keys at them and make them fix it. don't let them push you around. i'd be damned if i am gonna pay 25k+ for a new truck and have it do some crap like that with only 300 miles on the odo.
if they won't fix it either go to another more obliging dealer or call DC customer service.

Message: Make sure you document these trips to the dealer too, don't let them shrug you off without filling out a service order proving you complained about it to the dealership. Otherwise, this could go on for months and when you finally take the issue to DC, the dealer might claim that you never bothered to tell them about any problems.

Message: Do like RobC says and document everything.
Don't let them brush you off. Stand your ground.
If they refuse to fix it tell them you are going to put billboard signs on your truck saying that they (the dealer) sells lemons and refuses to fix them.
If they still refuse to fix it then do just that, go home and get some white shoe polish and write all over your windows in large letters that they sold you a lemon and refuse to fix it. Then make an appointment with them to get an oil change and park it right out front. I bet that will get their attention.
After they agree to fix it have them start with the easy stuff. Have them balance all the tires. Sounds to me like it may be as simple as a lost wheel weight. If not, go from there.

Message: Lemon law in your state ? In my state, they'd have 3 tries to fix it and then they'd eat it. Don't accept the answer they are giving you.

Message: I have had a brake issue that made my 05 Dakota QC shimmy when light to moderate braking. I have had in in twice now and just drove it home and still does it. According to the Service Tech Dodge has a Service Bulletin out detailing replacement of the, get ready, rear axle shafts and rear drums. They also replaced the front rotors and still feels shaky when braking.
I will pursue this directly with a factory authorized Dodge rep. and if he cannot fix it I am going to drive it back, right up their...
and come away with a newer version or an equal of the lot.
