Message: where is it on a 1999 5.9 R/T? I have read about (30) old posts on this subject and am confused and pissed to tell you the truth. (it's on top in front of the intake) or (it's on the pass side close to the front) Can some kind (educated person) post a pic, or a link to a pic for the 5.9 engine showing this damn sensor? There are WAY to many posts asking the same questions about this - educate me and Ill put the info up on one of my websites and Ill KEEP IT THERE so people can find it.

Message: Passenger side front, screwed into the intake runner - I think it is the No. 1 runner. It is usually a grey plastic sensor, 2 wires, with a 1/4" thread. When relocated you will need a 1/4" NPT pipe plug to plug up the hole.
Here is a pic of my Gen II. It is not the best pic, and was taken after I swapped out with an M1. You can see the IAT sensor relocated to the intake tube off the air cleaner housing.

Message: What are you doing working on your truck without a manual? It's the cheapest and most useful thing you will every buy for it. Not only that but it can save you hundreds or even thousands of dollars in unnecessary repairs.
