about 2 months ago, i took my 93 dakota v8 cc 4x4 through some deep water. what i didnt know, is i got some of that water in my front diff. this past saturday, i went to this offroad party and stuff, and everyone with decent rigs was screwing around. so one thing led to another and when i was in the middle of something, i heard a loud snap. now i only have 2 wheel drive. make a long story short, i know i snapped an axle. not the cv axle, but an axle inside the axle assembly.
i ran this thing for 2 months , put probably almost if not more than 1500 miles on it. it has had water in it the whole time. should i pull and replace the axle, or should i just repace the whole assembly. the thing may need all new bearings and stuff.
