Message: I went the homebrew route for my '01 4.7. I kept the stock airbox, used a K&N drop-in filter, removed the rubber flap between the headlight and radiator, replaced the airhat and tube between the TB and airbox with 3" aluminum tubes and rubber connectors, and replaced the stock 90 degree snorkel with a Fernco 6" inlet. Total cost: about $125.
