Interesting. Yours have silver valve covers. Mine are black...







If I had MONEY to burn. I'd be interested. I've been curious to take an OLD car like a early 70's Duster/Demon and use a built 4.7 in it. Them cars only weigh something like 3100 Lbs :-)

That's because in 2000 they had magnesium cam covers. I guess they decided to go to composite covers later on because those magnesium covers were expensive, ultra light but, not very durable.

Yeah. the 318 is tried and true. Can't talk no shlt about that. But the lil' 287 aint bad.

The 4.7 has some pretty cool features stock. like the windridge (spelled?) tray deal and fairly stout bottom end with bed plate. I hear that the 4.7's are pretty good for boost applications too.

So it looks like we should expect some pretty good performance from this little biatch, especially once it gains more support. How much $$$ would you have to drop into a 318 before It turned 6500+ RPM's without flinching?
Still wish DC would drop it in a mid sized RWD 2 door car :p
