Message: I have never run across one designed specifically for the Powerdyne, at least not for our trucks. There might be one for the Mustang and GM cars, as it spins faster than our trucks, and generates more boost. I have seen where the intercooler robs you of 1-2 lbs of boost, which is a lot when looking at a 6-9 lb Powerdyne setup.
If you have a Powerdyne, your money would be better spent with tensioner kit to use the stock tensioner, better tubing than the plastic that comes stock, a good bypass valve, MAP sensor check valve mod, and a rebuild using better bearings as the stock ones are cheap, and a good airhat to handle more than 6 lbs. Get a Goodyear gatorback belt to help minimize slippage - I think the V-10 truck application is the correct length when using the tensioner mod.

Message: thanks sneezer, i have all you mentioned, just thought a intercooler would be a good idea, never thought about the how much boost would be lost.
I am running 9# now.

Message: In that case it sounds like you have done about all that you can. I don't think an intercooler would increase your power enough to make up for the loss in boost. You might end up breaking even on it. Might be able to fab up some sort of heat shield for the intake to help reduce heat soak and get a better CAI solution. I know things get a little tight in there once you add the s/c. Did you cut out the side panel to increase cold airflow into the engine? I know several boosted daks have done that.

Message: Here is what is left of the old Speedtweaks article on making the valve.
http://web.archive.org/web/20040219060841/www.speedtweaks.ca/boost_bypass.php
There are a couple threads on it in the Dakota Mailing List archives as well. It essentially helps eliminate the part throttle stumble seen on some s/c applications, and decreases the leaning out of the fuel as the PCM does not really understand what to do with boost. Cheap and easy mod.
