 Subject: high idle & codes

lately my truck has been going from 700rpm to 2000 and dropping back down. then it will go to 1200. back and forth intermittently at Idle. I also had a check engine light on for a couple hours. plugged in the scanner and had 2 codes. #2 injector circuit malfunction and #7 injector circuit malfunction. anybody know what this means. before I found the codes. I thought it was a throttle position sensor. not sure now. could a fuel filter pluged cause something like this? FYI, 00 quad cab 4.7L 89000 miles
