 Subject: Center Console Lid

I have a 2000 R/T Club Cab that has a lower center console lid that doesn't stay up on its own like my old 60/40 split bench console did. Is this normal for this model? Anyone have any ideas? I'm thinking there's a piece of hardware missing possibly?

Same problem here, no missing hardware. Just crappy manufacturing, there is a little black plastic piece that keeps the console from opening fully. Luckily mine broke.

Thanks BC RT. Got a good belly-laugh from your comment. I'm thinking about a small modification to the pin at the bottom of the "strap" where it connects to the box. Maybe if I can tighten it up a bit it won't scare the bajeezuz outta my wife when it slams down. I'll let you know if anything works.
