P0442 EVAP LEAK MONITOR MEDIUM LEAK DETECTED
I have cleared my P0442 engine code 3 times now in the last 2 weeks with my SC Tuner. I have had to replace my gas cap 3 times now in my trucks previous 106k miles; the last time being after the code appeared the 2nd time. The gas cap I am using now is new and I am still getting the P0442 code.
I have been reading a few posts mentioning a li'l tank under the drivers side of the truck used to collect fuel fumes. What are the chances that could really be the problem? Truck is 2wd and is not taken off road so physical damage to that item should not be an issue.

I had the P0442 code a couple of times, reset the PCM, swapped the gas cap and it didn't resolve the problem. A few days later another code popped up, can't remember which one, but it was another EVAP XXX LEAK DETECTED. Took it to the dealer under warranty (35,800 miles LOL) and they replaced the "LEAK DETECTION PUMP". WOW isn't that nice the device that's supposed to detect a problem was the problem.
