 Subject: Window Popping Noise Fix

Had an annoying pop, pop, pop sound as I rolled the manual window up or down. Pulled the door panel and traced it to a heavy wound coil helper spring on the crank regulator assy. Troubleshooting, I noticed by spreading the large winding with a screwdriver blade the noise stopped.
I cut a small piece of rubber hose. With the screwdriver I spread the largest coil against it’s next wind and inserted the “damper” between the coils. Let the coils retract and the dreaded noise is gone.
