Message: The rear suspension off of the 91-96 Cherokee isn't the same as the rear suspension on 93-98 or 99-04 Grand Cherokees. The Cherokees have the same basic setup from 84-02 with leaf springs, the Grand Cherokees have used a coil spring setup since they introduced the model in 92 as a 93 and again as a redesigned 99 model vehicle in 98. They MIGHT use the same dana differential but you might want to make sure that none of the leaf spring or other suspension components interferes with the disc brake hardware. Besides things like axle spline count, you need to consider other a number of other things if you're trying to do a transplant. If the effort and cost required to do the modifications exceeds or comes close to that of just buying a conversion kit, you might as well save yourself a lot of trouble and buy the kit.

Message: i wanted to just take the disc brake stuff(caliper mounting bracket, dust shield, caliper) i will need to find a rotor that is the right bolt patern and offset. and make the e-brake and brake lines work.

Message: question; why do you want to do this?
a) for extra stopping stopping power
b) for trendy looks and/or bragging rights
c) you have on hand a 91-96 Grand Cherokee rear end and a lot of time to kill
d) all of the above
If you're looking for a) extra stopping power, you're better off going to an 11" rear drum like I have on my 2000 QC. They come with the towing pkg -these suckers are huge and have no shortage of braking effect. I would guess the back plates would bolt on quite nicely with little or no modification to your rear end.
If your answer is other than "a" then I can't offer any suggestions, sorry.

Message: Since they didn't introduce the Grand Cherokee until 93, there are no 91-92 Grand Cherokees therefore, listing them as 91-96 is incorrect.
