Subject: Flowmaster exhaust 97' 5.2 ?
IP: Logged

Message:
I have a 97' 5.2 CC Dakota SLT, I have a Flowmaster Original 40 Series Muffler, that is a 3inch inlet and a dual 2 1/2 inch outlet. I have 3inch pipe from the "Collectors" ( For lack of a better choice of words ) from the "collectors" to my flowmaster with NO CAT. It sounds awsome, it has that kindof "OLDSCHOOL Muscle" sound to it but, there is a cackling in the pipe from the engine to the Flowmaster. I have been thinking about dropping that 3inch pipe down to a 2 1/2inch pipe, and then moving the Flowmaster closer to the engine, ( The flowmaster is just infront of the rear axle right now ) I was thinking about moving it up just behind the cross member. Would this help eliminate that cackle? Any information would be helpful. Please and Thank You in advance.
