my 97 has an alarm that arms itself within 30 seconds after you close the doors. I was wondering if this was a factory thing and is there any way to stop it without disconnecting the alarm.

i've never known chrysler to install an automatic alarm, chrysler key fobs are distinctive.It may be a dealer installed after market alarm. Popular dealer alarms was the prestige/pursuit(?) made by audiovox.
