Message: I have a 03 Dakota QC 4X4 4.7L Sportplus. I was thinking about purchasing Superchips Programmer 3715L. I was wondering what everyones honest opinion is about these, are they worth the $$$? Does any one have some actual dyno results they can share? I live in California and I can only get 91 octane at the pumps and i definately don't want to have to use octane booster, so I need to know what results i can expect with pump gas. Thanks -Rob

Message: I have two now and am happy with the results. I really like the fact that I can correct the spedometer/odometer because of my non-stock tire sizes. It's nice to know that I am actually going 75mph (and not close to 80mph) when the needle is on the 75.
There is a definate difference when running on one of the performance programs as opposed to the stock or the SC87 program. The throttle response and engine power is much better at those 75mph throttle nudges. As well as when at WOT it spins up to the speed I want quicker. I haven't done exhaustive testing, but my mileage hasn't suffered as long as I can keep my right foot off the floorboard.
91 octane gas is fine - the documentation specifies 91 as the minimum for the two performance settings.
