Anyone here try the E85 ethanol blend? We jsut got it here in Minot ND. It is running about $0.40 less (Yes.. 40 cents cheeper per gallon) then regular. I have heard good and bad. Some say it eats plastic and causes problems, others swear it is fine. Just wondering if anyone here has experimented with it.

One thing for sure, you will have a decrease in mileage.

If you are going to use it, then you should get a conversion kit for E85. But be warned, you WILL lose gas mileage and performance.

even the 10% ethanol 89 octane i see a noticable decrease in MPG both on my 90 dakota and my 01 Ram
the dakota draps from 15+ to 13+
the ram drops from 14+ to 13+
if it were 40 cents cheaper i would take
current mpg/current price of gas
E85 mpg/E85 price and see which is cheaper per mile and but that
