Subject: Passenger Floorboard? IP: Logged
Message: ok, i've got an '02 4.7 v8 dakota. it runs nice, no major problems, but how in the world can i fix the problem of having water on my passenger floorboard every time i run the AC or when i rains? i know this topic has been beat to death on here, but is there a clear-cut way i can do it myself? i don't have much mechanical experience so i hope its not tough. do ya'll have an estimate about how much it would be to have the factory repair this? seriously, dodge needs to do something about this (recall or something) because not only is it a hassle to use a shop-vac every time it rains or when i run the AC, but i don't want to have a person fall out of my truck down the road due to a rusted out floorboard!

Message: I have a 02 my pass-side floor gets soaked also.
I have found if I keep the a/c on max or rec, it will not get any water on it at all. Seems the higher the humidity the more water is in the floor. I leave the a/c on max no water

Message: check your evaporator drain(on the pass side of engine compartment on firewall)see if you can put a small hooked pick in it and try to pull out the crap that is plugging it.If not the hvac housing will have to come out and apart for a cleaning.
