Everyone such as myself that brought a V6 dakota after a while is not stasifyed with the power that the V6 puts out....so we end up doing an engine swap to the 318 block or the 360 block...i mean this are great options but why not something more if we are going to get a V8 block.....?! Someone once told me that the 408 block for the dakota was enough, ill never need any more power then that. SERIOUSLY NOW!!! Look at my life, thats just not big enough...in TEXAS we do stuff the BIG, and when i say big i mean BIG way. So i got to thinking what could i do to the dakota that probably couldnt be matched and if it could it wouldnt matter cause id be happy with what i got....HMMM....then it hit me when my dad came home....HEMI!!! my dad has a new dodge ram with the Hemi in it, if he has the HEMI, why cant i have the HEMI? now i am not talking about this new HEMI with DOHC, i am talking about the orinal HEMI...MMM now thats something to be proud of! so i went on the search for the old HEMI block....and i found one, someguy was selling a rusted out roadrunner, everything was pretty much bad except for the frame, engine, and the transmation...so i got to work....took alot of time and of course money...but i gotta HEMI, a TRUE 426 BLOCK sitting in that dakota outback....NOW CAN YOU SAY, HEMI?!

If everything in texas is big, why drive a dakota? Also, does the Hemi have DOHC? I thought it a was pushrod.

no, it's a pushrod motor
check out where the camshaft is hotshot
if it were DOHC, it's MDS (multi displacement system) would not work as it would have no lifters to diactive.

Intense, that's really weird. Now the picture shows up as it is supposed to.
What took Texas so long? Up here we all drive hemi Dakotas.
