 Subject: 4.7 Take 5.3?

There's this punk in a Silverado Ext.Cab Z71 w/ a 5.3 auto. I'm pretty sure I can take him...'01 CC 4.7 3.55 auto. Is this gonna be a spankfest for me, or a close one,,, or do you think he can take me? The only mod I have is a 2 chamber catback,,,,,,(Z-tube on the way).
The 'ol G-tech says I be run'n a 15.5
What kinda times do these trucks run? His is a '99.

My buddy has a 2000 SWB RC w/ the 5.3 and some mods (computer,exaust,intake,TB spacer) and he runs a 15.2. Hope this helps but you shouldn't have a problem if you are running 15.5. Good luck

My freinds 2000 silverado ext. cab 5.3 runs 15.6 with no mods his is a 2wd.

I think youll get him. His is 4x4 (assuming Z71 only comes with 4x4). If yours is 2wd or 4wd I think you have him beat, make sure to tell him to get rid of that pile.

I have taken a RC Silverado Z71, so you should have no problem with a Ext. Cab. BTW, I have a '01, CC, 4.7, 3.55

I took both a 5.3 Ext Cab and a Reg cab Chevy Silverados with my 3.9L V-6. This should be no problem for you.

My truck was in Austin this weekend. Too bad I wasn't in it, my brother borrowed it to go camping. He didn't want to give it back!!!! I actualy have some family in Dallas, next time I visit I'll try to hook up with you guys;-)

I hope you can take a 5.3, if you don't he has many mods or yours needs some TLC!
And speaking of TX, I live in Azle, just west of Fort Worth. Locals give me a shout sometimes.
'00 4.7 CC, Auto, Flowmaster (duals), Homemade air intake (Fernco LOL), hey it works!
