Message: Yes, but there are some issues. LA heads oil the rockers via the #2 and #4 cam journals, up through the heads. Magnums do not oil through the cam journals, so those journals on a Magnum cam have no oil holes. Solution? There are two ways. One would be to use an LA-style cam with the oil holes. You would also have to have the Magnum block drilled to tap the oil passages to get the oil up into the heads as is done on the LA block. A simpler way is to use lifters that oil via hollow pushrods (the same method required for using Magnum heads on an LA block). Simple enough solution. You will have to make sure the LA rockers you use have an oil hole in the pushrod cup so oil can get to the rocker shafts. Most LA rockers have these holes, but I have seen some that didn't, so make sure. You will also need the head bolts for an LA engine since they are different lengths than on a Magnum.
