Message: Does anybody have any info on who or where I can find an intake manifold for my 02 4.7? Can't seem to find much after market stuff for this engine.

Message: If you are interested in OEM, I have an intake manifold from a 2000 4.7 engine. If it'll work out I'd be happy to exchange it for a small cash prize.

Message: There's cams, headers, flashes and chips, throtle bodies, cold air induction, high flow cats, etc. out there for the 4.7. There's 3 different stock intake manifolds - oldest (like the '00 posted above) best for low end torque; the HO that's best for high end, and the latest that's a good compromise. What is it you are trying to do ?

Message: Sorry modain but, if Tim buys your manifold he's going to have to change more stuff to get it to work. That is if he's got a 2002.
Tim, if you're looking for big improvements in performance, I don't think you're going to get it from the manifold swap. I changed my 2000 for a 2004 manifold and only noticed that it was smoother at high rpm.

Message: That's because 2004 manifold runners are slightly shorter, and therefore work best at higher RPMs.

Message: I don't know of anyone offering an aftermarket intake manifold. Ford and GM usually get all the attention from the aftermarket folks.
If you want real, tangible power gains you'll need to go with a set of cams, exhaust, throttle body and cold air intake like K&N for example.
Some people have got decent improvement from PCM flashes or Superchips tuners also. I don't think an intake manifold swap will be the key to achieving significant power gains without a significant change in other areas of your induction system. The available intake manifolds will only change where in the rpm range your power and torque is made. I would have to rate the 3 manifolds as '99-02 stock best for low rpm, '02 HO best for high rpm and the '03-04 best all around. It also depends on how you drive, if you need to tow a lot, maybe the '02 HO manifold is the best choice. I hope this helps.

Message: CORRECTION! I need to proof read more. I meant to say "if you need to tow a lot, maybe the '02 HO manifold isn't the best choice."
Sorry about that.
