Message: If those bushings are rubber, don't use grease. Grease and oil break down rubber.
Get thee down to your local Napa store and get some Silicone Lube. It's called Sil-glyde, and comes in a plastic squeeze tube. Good stuff. Lubricates well, and harmless to anything made of rubber.
Take that grease off the bushings with some WD-40, and off the sway bar with whatever, and use the silicone lube instead.

Message: I used Sylglyde for quite a while on my '01. Worked well, but I had to regrease it every 4-6 months. More often if I drove in a lot of rain or heavy snow/slush.
Last fall I used some Mobile 1 wheel bearing grease. I havn't touched it since.

Message: I use SUPERLUBE.........its a synthetic grease with teflon. It is safe on rubber. I drive a lot of dirt and dusty roads where I live.......about 80% of the roads are dirt or gravel. So I take the sway bar off about once a month and clean them up and relube. I usually start squeeking again around the end of the third week.

Message: Good info from Gaston, .boB and bnc.
Any synthetic lube or grease that contains no petroleum products will not harm your rubber sway bar bushings.
