Subject: Ball Joints IP: Logged
Message: 99 5.2 4x4, auto, are my lower ball joints greaseable for this year. I looked under the truck and i noticed they were. What i want to know is if they came stock like this, i just want to know if the person who owned it before me had to replace them and if they got better ones. I looked at the uppers and there not and one of the boots are missing with play in it. I want to get MOOGS but i dont know if the lowers are already them.

Message: Look at where they are attached to the A arms, if they are rivets or bolts.
Rivets= original
Bolts= replaced

Message: I just had mine replaced today, and they are bolted on. They were replaced free at an inspection station because the person accidently passed the truck when the driver's side had too much play. He replaced both for free.
