My 5.9 quad cab just started giving me trans trouble. The vehicle will not shift correctly from stand still nor while moving. I can make it shift by going between neutral and drive, but it will slip out while driving sending the rpms almost to red line?? any help?

check fluid. does it burn? if not adjust the tv cable and see what happens. if that doesnt work see if you have any chips in the pan.
