I own a 1992 Dodge Dakota Sport with a 5.2 L magnum engine. It is a standard cab model with a shortbed. It is white w/ a gray grphic. I wanted to see if anyone could give me production numbers on on the Dodge Dakota Sport models. I would guess that it is a pretty common dakota, but I don't know.

Thanks,

Hang on to it and enjoy it. I had a '92 5.2 RC 2wd in Electric Blue. At 217K, it had the original engine/trans/rearend. Mopar 25HP PCM, K&N drop-in, and Flowmaster 70 duals with Catco converter made it scream. Mine had a 3:55 gear, and still did 7.6 sec. 0-60 bone stock/ new. 1992-93 had the largest exhaust manifolds, 1/4" inside diameter larger than 1994-up. Remove the "bug deflector" at the air intake inlet for "ram-air", and adjust your tranny shift points with the "rachet square" on the cable near the back of the air cleaner. The Generation II Daks were some 200 pounds lighter than 1997-2004 versions. Actually, 5.2 RC's are not that common; most dealers used the 5.2 option to sell more expensive Club Cabs and 4x4's. Mopar Action magazine had a '93 5.2 RC 2wd 3:92 with the 25HP PCM, and K&N drop-in that ran 14.4 1/4 mile on the stock 75 series tires!

Thanks for the info on the truck and the mods. It has been a great truck.

A little history on my truck. My brother sold me the truck in 1997 when I wrecked my 72 Dart swinger. I got t-boned by a volvo (man those things are built tough.)
