Subject: '92, lost pressure. IP: Logged
Message: 1992 5.2L: Having recently replaced the PCM, Injectors, Battery, Plugs, Cap, Rotor, Wires, Fuel Pump, Pressure Regulator, Fuel Filter.
The vehicle is currently losing pressure in the fuel injector manifold so long as vehicle is no longer running. Pressure loss to 0PSI after 1-2 hours. It's not so bad as long as I use it every 4-6hours in the day, but after having it sit over night I have to turn to fuel pump on without cranking it over 3-5 times to get the pressure back up.
There has been some mention of an anti-drain valve or other remedies. I have replaced the fuel pump 3 times and this has not fixed it. I cannot determine if any fuel is leaking back from the send or the receive unit next to the pump.
Any suggestions from anyone, even non-factory modifications are welcome.
Regards,
Mr. Gaunt

Message: well, my first question is, who the hell lead you to replacing all that sh!t. and another thing, why did you put 3 pumps in it. i dont have really great advice for you, but if it was me, i would find a list or diagram of every part in the fuel system, and figure out what you havent replaced. then just use common sence on what to look at next..

Message: Actually, the various replacements weren't due to fuel system, but from a rebuild.... 3 pumps, since as far as I can recall from the fuel system the only anti-drain mechanism for the fuel resides in the send/receive unit attached to the pump. The 3rd pump was a mopar, rather than the aftermarket El Cheapo.

Message: sounds like the pressure regulator is bleeding off or one or more injector is leaking down

Message: I appreciate the help. I replaced the pressure regulator and it seems to have helped, though the pressure is much less in the manifold now, perhaps it will pickup with a little break in =]
