Message: Go to Huges Engines or KRC Performance and buy a set. Most all of the big names are good. It's just a matter of how much you want to pay. Since you invested so much in heads I would get some highend stainless steel ones.

Message: I don't think there is anything wrong with aluminum rockers for street use or even occasional racing. Personally, if I were on some sort of "repair budget" I wouldn't have blown a wad on the heads. If I already had the heads off I would go with a cam and stock rockers until I could afford RR's.

Message: No, that's not everything. You also need push rods, which are a non-stock length and hardened. If the Edelbrock heads don't have them, you also need studs and guide plates.

Get the hughs. 1.6 suppose to be "made for the heads" However make sure you install them correctly and adjust the guide plates with the friend. If you don't, you'll think the geormetry is wack. Use the Gibson. They make a nice open header gasket sold seperately at $19 at Summit.
Just installed a set of the RPM's and can tell you everything I ran into.
Did you get yours assembled, staged? or out the box. Mine...out the box. Valve cover bolts are a pain since your using MP aluminum valve covers to go with the rockers.
Where you from?

Message: The Eddys come with rocker studs and guideplates--- and the ARP bolts to mount them.
**Word of warning** A few people I know have received these heads, and they've got some minor issues (exhaust manifold bolt holes punching through into exhaust port, oil area, etc.)-- each head was a little different in quality (so if you get a set, inspect it thoroughly before you put them on)... Both that I have seen will seal up 'fine' when mounted up--- The QC from Eddy so far is subpar on what they've put out on these.
Rockers-- CROWER MAN!
Anyone up for a group buy??? I'll deal.

Message: well i went ahead and got the 1.6's from hughes along with the hardened pushrods. They say that they work with the stock covers.
My heads came out of the box "for bold on perforamce". I ended up getting just a set up felpro gaskets for the heads and valve covers.
Studs and Guideplates, will this be included in the 1.6 order? I asked the saleman if the ordered included everything i need to put my truck back together and he said it did. They should arrive today, be put in tomarrow and be driving it again monday "hopefully".
What type of performance gain do you think i will see with the heads and new rockers. BTW its supercharged #9.
I will take some pics of it and post them if i can find the time.

Message: Sicminds
I haven't heard any results from you yet. Hope it's because you need a set of tire now. Just got mine right tonight. A friend came over and put it on a DRB and check all my readings All good except vacuum was down to 4 and should of been around 16. We re-adjusted the rollers, I had them too tight thats why it was running like sh*t and running rich.
All I am waiting on now is a 94-95 Ram 5.9 MP ECM to get rid of a little hesitation from dead stop. I have a 5.2 MP. Would you know, Dodge has it on back order.
So, I called Jetchip they sent me a form to fill out with my mods and specs and said if I send them the PC one I have they could reprogram it. A frien told me that its good but if I change any mods like 30lb injectors or a 3200 stall convertor the chip may hurt the performance. Sicminds, keep us updated on you progress.
Does anyone know if this is true and what has anyone else experienced w/Jetchip?

Message: well got everything in and still with out a truck! been a month now, and its like i dont even own a mopar any more. (been toolin around in a 2000 mazda b2300 2.3l 4cly 5speed with a topper on it).
Its still in the shop awaiting the taller valve covers. I insisted that the stock ones be used (but beaten back) and the lead tech advised otherwise stating that they need room to breath and since i was dumping over 2100 in parts alone that i should go with the taller covers.
I am now wondering if my dak is running like crap (since your post of richness) since they installed them and that is why they dont have it done yet. Just wondering what the labor cost will be all said and done.
Boy o Boy it will be like getting it back it will be like a new truck. New heads/rockers/and headers. Should see a nice improvement in hp seeing how the heads and headers will flow a low better then the stockers do.
Once i get it back and drive it for a while i already have plans for bigger injectors, an m1 intake w/turtle, and a bigger tb.
The only thing else i can think of to really do to it would be a bigger cam, and some forged pistons?

Message: Got mine running today. Finally got the MP 5.9 ECM.
One of the problems I had was running rich. This happenned when I first adjusted the rockers. We put a DRB on it and found 3.5 lbs of vacuum. The roller rockers were way too tight, someone told me way wrong on the installation.
I'm bringing her to the exhaust shop this week before we tweek her, so I can get the back preasure needed.
It doesn't take long draining that bank account does it?

Message: I want to chime in here, if Sam from Socal is offering a group buy go for it. I have purchased the Crowers from sam in the past on a group buy and it saved me quite a bit of money. I didnt go with the guide plate option since I wasn't racing just wanted more power. Sam is a good guy to deal with.
92 and 97 Daks both with many mods.

Message: yeah i had the v6, witch is now my lil bro's dak and i moved up to a 4x4 5.2l pictured below.
Anyways, got the call today saying my truck was done. Went picked it up stoke as hell, looked so pretty. Drove it seemed ruff as hell, smokin like a bitch. Drove it another mile, it died and then a huge backfire.
Then no start, at all. Looked around the eninge bay a little closer and noticed a plug wire undone couple screws missing off the speed control moudule heaterhose etc.. Also looked at my front tires (which were flat during it being fixed) and noticed the caps were missing.
Thinking WTF! WTF! 1400 labor and misc parts(gaskets valve covers) and this is the shit i get.
Then the tech from the shop came to my location and checked out and determined no spark. I am thinking it has something to do with the 6a or blaster ss.
Ended up having it towed back to the repair shop.
Now my question is, if it is in deed something to do with the msd setup who should pay? Is there some way that they could of hooked up wrong and or caused damage to it with one unplugged?
And also, what is up with the smoking, could it just be from new parts or something? All i know is i am pissed, been a month now and this is what i get. jesus btw the cost is up to 3300 out the door.
