I have a 99 5.2L Dakota. It frequently dies on me if I am parked or driving, doesnt sputter out or anything just quits running and it only seems to do it when it's about 65 degrees or warmer outside and the engine is warmed up. If I shut it off for 2-15 min. after it dies it starts right back up. I,ve had the the fuel pressure checked, Ive replaced the cam position sensor, crank sensor, throttle posistion sensor, spark plugs/wires, cap and rotor and also the catalytic converter. I'm thinking it's probably the PCM (powertrain control module) but wanted to see if anyone else has had this problem and knows what it is before I spend $500 on a new PCM. And yes, I took it to dodge but it didnt die on them but they thought it was because the throttle body needed to be cleaned so that cost me $480 only to have it die 1500 feet from the dealership after I left. Thanks for any help.

Mine does this also. First time it did it my wife called and said the truck died and wouldn't start. I went over and turned the key on and no check engine light like it normally does for a few seconds after turning it to the on position. So while the key was on I smacked the computer and you could hear things come on. She said the engine light just came on. So she turned it to start and WA - LA it started. I pulled the wire plug to the computer and cleaned it w/elctronic cleaner. This seemed to help, but the problem is back now. It uasually just dies for a second or two on the hi-way then comes right back to life.
I too could use help with this one!!
