Subject: Tranny Rebuild IP: Logged
Message: A while ago I posted how my truck did not want to shift into third gear while driving with minimal throttle. I also stated how it would shift just fine when greater throttle was given. The tranny is in the process of being rebuilt and I figured now is as good of a time as any to install a better quality torque converter. I have been on a few different sites featuring R/T's and they offer affordable converters that give a decent boost in performance. The truck doesn't have any serious mods. It only has a mopar pcm, k&n fipk, flowmaster exhaust, coil, plugs, etc.., I want something that is affordable, offers a bit of improved performance and most importantly, will not cause much of a change in my everyday driving. I'd like some suggestions as to what brand, what stall and where to get it from.

Message: Typically you want your stall RPM to match your Cam shaft... other than that, I can't be of much help, just make sure you get one that matches your set up, brand aren't too much different, its just finding one that matches what you have, what you want, and what you need.
