Where did I go wrong? I just rolled 103,000 and decided to get everything looked at. I had the oil & filter changed, transmission flushed and filter changed, radiator fluid flushed and spark plugs changed. All seemed well. So I'm driving days later and felt a terrible thump in my transission followed by a lot of reving and the check engine light. I bring it back to the shop. They hooked it up to there computer and said it dispalyed some code involving the transmission. So I bring it to the transmission shop. $2300 later it is shifting as bad now as before. SO I bring it back to the transmission shop. They put it on their computer and tell me its the #4 injector... "put some cleaner in your gas and it will be fine." True, it helped, but it is still shifting like crap and will spratically rev just driving down the road. Could a dirty injector do that, or did they maybe not seat the tork converter correctly? What do you guys think it is?

I had a similar problem with my dad's chevy silverado. I would have eratic problems with rev's and would shift kinda wacky because the motor was revving up. It turned out the negative battery cable was corroded. It didn't look too bad at all though. Anyhow we replaced that, and it solved the problem. Im not saying this is what is wrong with your truck..but is worth looking under the hood for.
