Message: Hi Toby:
I posted the following a couple days ago. I thougth it was worth putting in here as well. It appears from a lot of the posts that Autolights seem to work pretty good. I would suggest a search on spark plugs and read some of those postings.
Just a little feed back on my own situation. About a month ago, I bought a 1994 Dakota, mint condition. I got 19 MPG coming the 180 miles from Missouri, to home. I went ahead and pulled the plugs which were Champions (original set I think) and replaced them with Bosch Platinum 4202, which were recommended by the local Auto Zone. I drove those plugs for the past three weeks and noted a significant decrease in my mileage. Today, I went and bought a new set of Champion Truck Plugs 4071. I am in hopes to get the mileage back up to where it was before I changed. I am only listing this as my personnel experience, and have nothing good or bad to say about a particular plug. I would be interested in knowing if others have had a similar result with the use of the Bosch plugs. I also installed a new cap and rotor at the time of the Bosch plug install. I have read several debates on the site concerning different plug types, but I will just have to wait and see how the Champions work for me. I am glad you are getting good results with the Autolights! I know Amsoil recommends Bosch on their site but I sure didn't have luck with them. Comments anyone?

Message: Bosch was also recommended by an Autozone that I went to.So I sprung the extra cash and got them. Put them in and noticed a decrease in the performance of the truck and then developed a really bad miss.I pull the number one plug and well let's just say the inside if the plug was gone.I only had like 2000 miles on them..Needless to say I went back to the champions and the performance came back..I tried the autolites also but don't really like them though..
