Message: If you're going to replace your wheels and bumpers with lightweight ones, you may as well put the money into the engine.

Message: A lot depends on how radical you want to go, and what the intended use is.
Fiberglass hood, fenders. Remove the A/C and heater. Gut the interior. Remove the bed.

Message: Get the driver to lose some pounds also. I'm sure that you can stand to lose 40 or 50 yourself!
Also, lose the center counsol.

Message: Depending on what you are trying to achieve the answer might be not to lose wieght but to move it to the rear for traction. You could try relocating your battery under your bed for starters. An alluminum radiator might be a good second idea. FIberglass fenders also help some. Its really a lot of little things that make a weight difference. Removing inner fenders, lighter upper control arms, smaller fuel tank, finding a lighter seat, often benches are the lightest. It all depends on how serious you are about going fast and what you are willing to sacrafice. In most cases try to take wieght off the front, not rear, because trucks have most of thier wieght on the front wheels. A vehicle with closer balance front to rear tends to have better traction and handle better. How far you go is up to you, just think about what you are willing to give up to go faster.
