Hey guys i just recently got my Dak and I love it, the only bad thing, not 16 yet....but i will be monday so be on the look out...lol....anyways to my question. I was just rummaging in my glove box and I noticed everything and understood it except the torque converter, it had in little hash marks next to it -Lock-....if you could please tell me what this means it would be much apriciated. Thanks again....

2000 4.7L, 3.55, LSD, glasspack...bone stock...more to come when i get my summer job!

The torque converter is a fluid coupled device that is used in a auto trans. It does the job of a clutch. In the late 70's they started using lockup converters so at hwy. speeds the torque converter locks so there is no slippage. This helps fuel mileage.
