Subject: Help... water in intake IP: Logged
Message: 1999 5.2 4x4, auto, has anyone put a snorkel on this truck before, I live in FL and it rains alot, every big storm I get water in the intake and in wont start until its dry, it sucks in the hurricanes. I need an afertmarket product that will let me drive in these storms.

Message: You have an intake tube that connects the throttle body to the port in the grill right? Try pulling that tube off aspirating air out of the engine bay or zip tie a temporary plastic shield to your grill infront of the port.

Message: are you sure its getting in the intake? it might just be your coil/dist. cap getting wet and gounding out...

Message: ok i was out off roading and i thought of the shield trick but i had to use my flip flop as a shield. it worked great, no shutting off, thanks for replys
