Message: Just a shout out to Dak owners and a small cy
for help.
I'm a Mopar guy through and through. I have a
72 Charger with a 413 wedge (I know what a
wedge is, no I don't think this is the motor that
came with it and yes, I am aware that Max
guys have a heart attack everytime I mention it)
Anyway, a friend brought his 91 Dakota to my
shop, looking for some more stink. It's a 318
(5.2) neutered by that lovely Toilet Bowl
Injection.
I gotta say ... in 1991 someone from Chevy
must have snuck in and started tuning.
Anyway, all the fun stuff is done. All
accessories have been converted to old style
pulleys, water pump, PS, alternator
Heads, cam (big narsty Comp Xtreme lift),
lifters, pushrods, dual springs, small tunnel
ram with a TQ, electronic distributor with light
advance spring, Orange box etc etc,
Now the only thing left to do is the wiring. Well,
not the tricky wiring, just a switch for the fuel
pump and a switch for the OD/Lockup.
I have no wiring diagrams, and can't find any
online.
Just hoping someone could break down the
fuel pump wiring, and where to find it. The
truck has been slammed (dropped spindles ...
not my choice, but hey ... customer's always
right right?) and I can't really crawl around to
have a look.
So yeah, fuel pump wiring and tranny switch
wiring ... please help!!

Message: The trans wiring for the OD and lock up is the 3 prong connector on the driverside rear/top of trans. The center wire should be switched power and the 2 outsides are too be grounded. This will bring OD and lock-up in together. I have a similar set-up with a 3400 stall converter and I only use lock-up when in O.D. Works well for mine. As for the fuel pump I will have too look when I get home as too the color of the wire but I tapped into it right infront of the driverside rear wheel(harness inside of frame rail).

Message: Hmm ...
Looking at the Chiltons, it looks like the fuel
pump wire is dark green/black
But I've gone and buggered something up. We
got really close to firing last night, just needed
a coolant bypass hose and a few tiny other
things ... but now I no longer have a start
signal.
I can jump the starter and the motor will turn
over, but not by key.
Oh well, this thing needs a big START button
LOL
