Got an AUTO 4.7L with these performance mods:
Magnaflow 2x2 1/4" exhaust
Flometrics 70MM TB
Intese Performance 4" Z-Tube
Mike Leach PCM
I got the california emissions, so I was thinking of cutting the cat and making it where I can bolt and unbolt it as needed. And no, there is no O2 sensors behind or infront of this cat.
1) Will this kill overall performance? I know others have said it's really helped them
2) Where's the best place to get the clamps to make it where I can unbolt/bolt a straight-pipe in?

hey cuda! Did you notice anymore smoke or smell? Eversince I got my exhaust put on I have notice a stink from the exhaust...will taking off the cat make it worse or better?

I didnt notice any smells one way or the other. The only other side effect other than running better was it got a little bit louder. Not a lot but enough to notice a difference.
